besides BMAX won't load MP#s
dude, what don't you get of it being licenses. that means the company that makes whatever OS you are using had to buy a license to allow their OS to play MP3s

not sure but i don't know if it works on linux
to play MP3s on ubuntu it takes a lot of time to gather all the files and codecs needed
it is just easier to convert them to something it will natively play

well the whole point of ajax is that it uses less bandwidth because it only get's the little bits that it needs, right?

It's using very little bandwidth when it sends the info..
But every browser running the chat is constantly requesting "Is there new messages"
Some kind of classic-style online text adventure, with gathering points to chat, and a list of "Who is where", and ability to transport to another user's location...... That would be neat..
.. I might play with that idea tomorrow.

sorry, that was kinda rude before... I just had it in another tab and closed firefox...
anyway, it's actually a pretty good chatroom, besides the big text. (which isn't really that bad)
I like that you can embed a lot of stuff and just be an 'observer' so you can just read.

My problem with it isn't the big text... It's that, like Gabbly, it doesn't flash in my browser when somebody types a message. Maybe in Firefox that does happen, but not for me on Safari.

Uncle Jimmy's Work's copy of WinXP Pro suddenly decided to stop working on my PC. It said the corporate license had been overused. So I had to format and go back to XPHome again today.. Ho hum..
Still at least my serial is the same as the one on the side of my PC, now!
