  • Did you notice the scrolling mechanism for the chat is awkward, but easy to get used to...
  • At first I couldn't figure out how to scroll up to see previous posts, but it looks like the page scroll affects this div etc. Hmmm looks like they used static or absolute placement to throw things on top of the page and just have the chat run the full height.
  • are they using sIRF or what ever that flash replacement thing for the fonts?

  • I agree - on the scrolling. it sorta requires a larger window.
  • I've tried making it a very small browser window, and, well, too much is lost.
  • on sIRF - I don't think so. I think they're just using Apple's baked-in GillSans...I think anyway.

  • 26x26Garrick Van Buren
  • a la blogger.com
  • 26x26Mark Leppke
  • so it becomes even more community driven...
  • 26x26Garrick Van Buren
  • and build a theme to make it super easy to host design portfolios.
  • 6:12pm (November 21, 2006) 26x26Mark Leppke
  • gotcha...
  • i could see it then being a resource for job hunting, and business dealing...
  • 26x26Garrick Van Buren

  • best posts of the day/week/discipline.
  • each new blog can have it's own theme.
  • so, I'd like to make the existing theme the default.
  • 26x26Mark Leppke
  • doable.
  • we should touch up the theme while w're at it. the new wordpress changed the format a bit...
  • 6:17pm (November 21, 2006) 26x26Garrick Van Buren
  • what would you like to change on the site?
  • 6:18pm (November 21, 2006) 26x26Mark Leppke
  • besides touching up the site. we should have some more tasty content.
  • 26x26Garrick Van Buren

  • 6:20pm (November 21, 2006) 26x26Mark Leppke
  • I like the proposal section. folks can submit disired content...
  • is there a way to make our tags more managable? the long list is a bit much... intimidating. Hate to copy digg, but it's a good take on it.

  • 26x26Mark Leppke
  • Maybe, don't want to wreck the community driven aspect.
  • 26x26Garrick Van Buren
  • I'd been wondering about re-org-ing the categories as well.
  • 6:24pm (November 21, 2006) 26x26Mark Leppke
  • hmmm
  • will this still be wordpress driven?
